take me back in time
to the days of years gone by
the time when i was little
the time i had faith i could fly
take me back in time
and make me believe
that Mother Earth too
was once healthy and green
take me back in time
to when his health was fine
i wish to hug my grandfather
just one last time
take me back in time
to meet Nelson Mandela.
i want to learn from Mother Teresa
and see Norma Jeane and Lady Diana.
take me back in time
witness the Beatles perform live
listen to disks of vinyl
ride a Pontiac into the night
take me back in time
before the hi tech big bang
when automobiles were luxuries
and phones weren’t must-haves.
take me back in time
to those summer vacations
that were more than expensive resorts
and were priceless family celebrations.
take me back in time.
save my Generation X soul.
which alas is forever stuck
in a millenial’s timezone.

I think every age comes with its own challenges but I believe that we are improving everyday and technology has made the world a better place.

That is correct, too.
If technology is used with respect to certain limits. Otherwise we end up wasting a lot of time and energy
